Now that we've discussed micronutrients, let's get into some food sources where you can obtain them.
Fruits vegetables, and lots of them! Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, and thousands of biologically active phytochemicals that are likely to interact in a number of ways to prevent disease and promote health. The best way to take advantage of these complete interactions is to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables, all the colors, and as close to the way they were grown as possible. This preserves the nutrients, and enzymes to help break them down, for our bodies to use. Cooking and processing removes nutrition from these foods, so when you can, eat raw and organic. When you need to cook them, minimal is always best to preserve the micronutrients they have to offer.
So as always... Eat Your Veggies (and Fruits)!!
